Mattress maker grows sales to almost £90m

The UK and Ireland division of Tempur Sealy International has reported a growth in sales and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2025, total Tempur UK sales rose 18% to £86.4m from £73.4m in 2024.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £5.4m, up from £4.7m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “The year was another positive year for the company with sales growth driven by our retail business segment. Consumer demand for consumer durables remained subdued in 2025 but through strong execution of our business plan we were able to grow and gain market share.

“During the second half of the year, we launched a new mattress range, Tempur Ease, targeted at consumers in the mainstream price segment. Ease generated 4% of our 2025 turnover.

Tempur added that turnover from its retail partners, including its largest customer Dreams – which is owned by parent company Somnigroup, was up 22% on last year, with 85% of sales coming through this channel.

As for its direct to consumer business, which accounts for 15% of turnover and operates through its online platform and 12 stores, ecommerce sales decreased 7%. Own store sales delivered an uptick of 8% on last year.

During the period, the company opened two new stores in the second half of 2025 with an Outlet Store in Braintree, Essex, and a brand store in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
