Exports drive growth again at design business

Furniture design business Soane Britain has reported record sales as turnover continued to climb towards £20m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2025, total sales rose 7.6% to £18.3m from £17m in 2024.

UK sales fell to £4.2m from £4.7m, while EU revenues remained flat at £1.2m. Rest of the world sales delivered growth, up from £11m to £12.8m.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £2m, up from its profit of £1.7m recorded in its previous year.

Stated within its report, Soane Britain said: “The company recorded record turnover levels in 2025 thanks to continued high demand for Soane designs, particularly in North America, where our flagship Madison Avenue showroom has been recognised as a showcase for the best of British craftsmanship.

“We are delighted by the continued demand for our designs in North America, particularly in fabrics and wallpapers. We have also seen growing interest in our workshops’ capabilities from key export markets, including France, Spain and Australia.”
